Vacuum Conveyors

Vacuum Conveyor
The operation of a vacuum conveying system is relatively simple, with a few moving parts, providing easy operation and maintenance .
Most vacuum conveying systems work on what is referred to as a “suck and dump” system. This is a cyclic operation where the system conveys for a set time or to a level, conveying stops, the discharge valves opens and the filters are cleaned. This sequence is then repeated.
There are three crucial elements required for any vacuum system:
- Material pick-up point
- Vacuum receiver – separates the product from the dusty conveying air;
- Vacuum pump package – consists of an electrically powered vacuum pump, a secondary filter used to protect the vacuum pump, and a vacuum vent valve.
