Conical Mixer

A conical mixer consists of a conical container and a rotating screw. The simultaneous motion of suitable transmission allows the screw to perform two movements: 1. to rotate on its own axis; 2. to orbit along the inner conical vessel wall.
In this way the agitator, which generally consists in a worm screw, conveys the product from bottom to the top and creates a horizontal motion flow.

Advantages:

• lower power consumption because the mixing screw does not act on the whole product simultaneously
• minimum heating of substances;
• soft mixing action
• total emptying without product retention
• possibility to work with product volume lower than the maximum design capacity.
